Background
SOM.dev seeks to radically increase transparency in the Bitcoin improvement process. Our starting point is to build this website which hosts a technical implementation for concepts explored in the paper Analyzing Bitcoin Consensus: Risks in Protocol Upgrades published by Ren Crypto Fish, Steve Lee, and Lyn Alden in 2024. We are not affiliated with any of the authors. We have made several minor deviations from the paper for technical, editorial, and business reasons, but we believe the spirit of the paper is preserved in our implementation.
